The NSF I-Corps Hub Mid-Atlantic Region wrapped up its hub-wide cohort on August 30, hosting 17 teams working on AI applications, medical devices, quantum computing, and more.

Collectively, the teams conducted over 240 interviews. Many of the teams will be eligible for the National I-Corps program, for which they can receive $50,000 for continued customer discovery.

Alongside the cohort, the hub conducted a train-the-trainer program, during which eight participants from CMU, Hampton, Virginia Tech, and UMD completed a rigorous set of instructor training sessions. Additional instructors will increase the hub’s teaching capacity.

The next regional hub cohort will be held in October, while the next train-the-trainer program is in January.
